Jakob Ludwig Friedrich von Stängel

Jakob Ludwig Friedrich Stängel , from 1840 von Stängel , (* May 24, 1783 in Fleinheim , † after 1848) was a Württemberg chief bailiff.

Life and work

Jakob Ludwig Friedrich von Stängel was the son of a Protestant pastor. He began his professional career as an assistant clerk at the Sontheim an der Brenz office and at the Welzheim and Schorndorf offices. From 1807 to 1809 he was an extra probator at the Stuttgart Finance Department and from 1809 to 1812 he was a local auditor in Mergentheim. From 1812 to 1815 he was seconded to Mergentheim as secretary of the commission for the adjustment of the Teutonic order. He then worked until 1817 as a municipal auditor for the cities of Aalen and Gmünd. In 1817 he became chief auditor at the Ministry of the Interior in Stuttgart. From 1820 to 1826 he was senior official at the Gmünd Oberamt and from 1826 to 1848 at the Reutlingen Oberamt . In 1848 he retired.

Honor, ennoblement

In 1840 he received the Knight's Cross of the Order of the Württemberg Crown , which was associated with the personal title of nobility ( ennoblement ).
