Jakob Mois

Jakob Mois (born September 22, 1907 in Rottenbuch ; † January 23, 1998 ibid) was a German Catholic pastor, local researcher and historian .

Life

After studying theology, he was ordained a priest in Freising in May 1934. Mois was initially prefect of the Freising boys' seminar .

In the 1950s, Jakob Mois was an expositus in Großberghofen . From 1965 to 1981 he was a pilgrimage curate, d. H. Pilgrimage priest , pastor and supervisor of the pilgrimage site on the Hohen Peißenberg .

He was a connoisseur of the painter Matthäus Günther and the Pfaffenwinkel . He spent the last years of his life in the Don Bosco monastery in Rottenbuch, where he died in 1998 and was buried in the local cemetery.

He wrote a total of about 70 written works on church and art history, some of them on the history of Rottenbuch.
