Jakob Schaub

Jakob Schaub (born November 2, 1862 in Gelterkinden ; † March 3, 1950 in Sissach ) was a Swiss printer, publisher and editor.

Jakob Schaub trained as a typesetter in Gelterkinden. He then trained as a book printer in Bülach , Basel (Basler Nachrichten) and Zurich . In 1885 he took over a printing company in Sissach in order to be able to accept the order to print the regional newspaper “Volksstimme von Baselland”, which had been founded three years earlier. In 1900 he also acquired the newspaper's publishing rights and from then on also oversaw its editing.
