Jakob Stüttgen

Jakob Stüttgen (born May 11, 1971 in Düsseldorf ) is a German chef .

Career

Stüttgen is the son of the artist and author Johannes Stüttgen . After his training from 1994 at the Hotel “Traube Tonbach” in Baiersbronn, he went to the “Piere Gagnaire” in Paris in 1999 and from 2000 to 2003 to the “Haerlin” in the “ Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten ” in Hamburg. Then he moved to Munich to “Walter and Benjamin” and then to the “Blauer Bock” restaurant.

From 2005 to 2012 he cooked in the Terrine restaurant in Munich, which has been awarded a Michelin star under his management since 2008 . In 2010 the terrine achieved 17 points in Gault Millau . In June 2012, Stüttgen announced that he would be leaving the terrine at the end of July to devote himself to the subject of "chocolate and pralines".
