Jakob Tschavoll

Jakob Tschavoll (born July 25, 1868 in Satteins ; † September 3, 1935 there ) was an Austrian politician ( CSP ) and farmer. From 1919 to 1923 he was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament .

Live and act

Tschavoll worked as a farmer and did military service with the Standschützen between 1915 and 1918 during the First World War . He was active in local politics from 1898 to 1914 as the mayor of Satteins, was a member of the local council from 1919 to 1935 and was also a member of the council of his home community from 1919 to 1924. He was also the local school overseer in Satteins.

As a member of the Christian Social Party, Tschavoll ran in the 1919 state elections in the Feldkirch constituency and was subsequently sworn in as a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament on June 17, 1919. He was a member of the Constitutional Committee, the Agriculture Committee and the School Committee and was a member of the state parliament until the end of the legislative period on November 5, 1923.

Tschavoll was a member of the Satteins savings and loan fund, commander of the Satteins volunteer fire brigade and co-founder of the Satteins gymnastics association . He was also chairman of the Federation of Farmers in the Feldkirch district, deputy chairman of the Vorarlberger Bauernbund and chairman of the sanitary committee for the Jagdberg district. In addition, he was a member of the Land Traffic Commission, co-founder of the Innerländer Fire Damage Insurance Company Thuringia and member of the board of the Innerländer Tanner Cooperative. TSchavoll was also active as a member or board member of the Alemania fruit processing cooperative.

Private

Jakob Tschavoll was the son of the local councilor and farmer Franz Josef Tschavoll (1836–1891) and his wife Maria Katharina Nachbauer (1842–1871). His parents were born in Satteins and died there. Jakob Tschavoll married Aloisia Rahm (1864–1933) in Satteins on November 19, 1894 and had four sons between 1897 and 1903. Jakob Tschavoll was the nephew of the manufacturer and mayor of Feldkirch Andreas Ritter von Tschavoll.
