Jakob Zünd
Jakob Zünd (born September 9, 1874 in Altstätten SG ; † July 19, 1953 there ) was a Swiss politician.
In 1915 he joined the political community of Altstätten as a council clerk. He held this office for 8 years. Zünd's trust in the general population acquired so that it in 1924 for mayor was elected the city of Altstätten. He was repeatedly confirmed in this office until he retired in 1945. From 1927 to 1932 he also represented the Upper Rhine Valley District in the Grand Council of the Canton of St. Gallen .
