from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jakob von Chacenay (French: Jacques de Chacenay ; † ~ 1152/58) was a lord of the castle of Chacenay ( House Chacenay ) in Champagne . He was a son of Anséric II of Chacenay († 1137) and the Humbeline, possibly with St. Humbeline by Jully , the sister of St. Bernhard von Clairvaux , is identical.

Jakob von Chacenay established the long tradition of his family as a crusader when he and his younger brother Anséric de Feins took the cross for the second crusade . In addition to a large number of various other feudal lords of Champagne, her cousin from Burgundy, Anséric I of Montréal , also joined the crusade.

Jakob was married to Agnes († after 1191), who was probably a daughter of Walter II , Count of Brienne . Your children were:

  • Thomas († 1179), Lord of Chacenay
  • Erhard I († 1191), Lord of Chacenay
  • Marguerite de Chacenay; ∞ with Thibaut de Brienne († approx. 1204), Lord of Champlost
  • Huguette de Chacenay

  1. Lalore, No. 33, p. 18 f.
  2. The descent of Agnes from Count Walter II of Brienne is deduced from a comment on her son Erard I of Chacenay, who is referred to as the nepos of Count Erhard II of Brienne. Lalore, No. 49, p. 25.
