Jakow Ivanovich Punko

Jakow Iwanowitsch Punko ( Russian Яков Иванович Пунько , English transcription Yakov Punko; * 1916 , † 1984 ) was a Soviet marathon runner .

In 1946 he won bronze at the European Athletics Championships in Oslo in 2:26:21 h on a distance that was about 2 km too short and was Soviet champion in 2:49:54 h.

At the Soviet Championships in 1948 he was third in 2:40:36 h and in 1950 fourth with his personal best of 2:34:57 h.
