Jakub Kováč (born May 13, 1997 in Bratislava ) is a Slovak national volleyball player .

Career

Kováč started his career at VKP Bratislava . From 2013 to 2017 he played with COP Trenčín . In the 2017/18 season, the middle blocker played for the Italian first division club Taiwan Excellence Latina . On May 11, 2018, he made his debut in the Slovak national team in a game against the Czech Republic in Púchov . The following season he was in Belgium with Caruur Volley Gent . In 2019 he took part in the European Championship with Slovakia . Then he moved to the Finnish club Team Lakkapää . When the season ended, Lakkapää was last in the table, but Kováč was the best blocker in the league. In 2020 the middle blocker was signed by the German Bundesliga club Netzhoppers Königs Wusterhausen .
