James B. Harris

James B. Harris (born August 3, 1928 in New York City ) is an American film producer , director and screenwriter .

life and career

James B. Harris, born in New York City in 1928, began his career in the film business as a film producer. He worked with Stanley Kubrick on three films and produced his films The Bill Did Not Work , Paths to Fame and Lolita . He made his debut as a director in 1965 with the film Incident in the Atlantic . In 1973 he wrote his first screenplay, which he also filmed under the title Some Call It Loving . In 2006 he was involved as executive producer on The Black Dahlia .
