James Bonn , also James West or Jim West , actually Jim Fimiani (born October 1, 1959 ) is an American porn actor who starred in over 90 films between 1995 and 2002.

Life

Bonn served three years in the United States Army , then trained as a sports physiologist and worked as a personal trainer .

He embodied the role of the playboy in several erotic films and television series . He came to porn film through the director Kris Kramski .

For his portrayal in Masseuse 3 he was honored in 1998 by the X-Rated Critics Organization as best actor with the XRCO Award . The following year, he received the AVN Award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Production for Models , a film that porn critic Luke Ford described as an avant-garde film , and was nominated for Best Actor in the Rose Garden Video Production . In 2000 he was nominated four times for the AVN Award, two of which he received. He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in Three and for Best Couple Scene in The Seven Sex Sins , an award that he could not get because he received it in the same category with Asia Carrera for Tender Beasts . For Chloe: The Story of a Sex Addict , he received the Best Actor Award for the second year in a row. In the same year Bonn played with Tristan Taormino as a partner in the film Ecstatic Moments . Richard Pacheco wrote in a review of the film that he had waited 25 years to write this review. He described the film as a breakthrough in the history of the adult industry , as it is a passionate, intelligent hardcore work that represents an alternative to the misogyny that has dominated the sex film industry since the days of "unlabeled brown packaging". He was surprised at the talent of James Bonn ("I was genuinely surprised at what a talented actor James Bonn is.")

In 2001 and 2002, James Bonn was nominated for The Bet and Mafioso for Best Supporting Actor for the AVN Award, but received no award. After 2002 he only appeared as a porn actor in Wishful Thinking by director Ran Savant in 2007 .
