Asia Carrera (also Jessica Bennett , actually Jessica Andrea Steinhauser ; born August 6, 1973 in New York ) is an American former porn actress .

Life

Asia Carrera was born in 1973 in New York City to a German mother and a Japanese father and grew up in Little Silver , New Jersey . There she attended the local high school and learned to play the piano as a child . Before she was 15, she had performed twice at Carnegie Hall . At the age of 16, she left her parents' home and initially taught English at a college in Tsuruga , Japan , because, according to her own statement, the academic pressure that her parents put on her was too strong. She is a member of Mensa , a club for people with high IQs , and has an IQ of 156th

In 1993 she began working as a porn actress when she was 20 years old. She chose her stage name after the actress Tia Carrere . In 1995 she won the most important AVN Award for Female Performer of the Year and in the same year married the porn producer Bud Lee . After a long period of separation, they divorced on September 29, 2003. In that year she also ended her activity in the porn industry, but has been performing as Asia Carrera-Lemmon since her second marriage. By that time, she had appeared in 400 films, according to the IAFD . She had been inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame two years earlier . In 2007, she was also the only person to be inducted into their Hall of Fame by an official election of the XRCO members.

On December 19, 2003, she married the nutritionist and author Don Lemmon . He died in a car accident on June 10, 2006 when she was pregnant with her second child. Carrera has lived in St. George , Utah since she married and has two children, a daughter and a son. In 2010, she revealed that she became an alcoholic after the death of her husband and that she had been participating in Alcoholics Anonymous since 2010 without having to believe in God . She later gave birth to a third child whose father is a sperm donor. In September 2012, she announced that she had given her son to a couple of friends for adoption . Like her father, her two brothers, and her first son, she has Asperger's Syndrome .

Asia Carrera described herself as a " nerd of pornography" ( nerd of porn ). She designs her website according to her own statements. On it she describes in great detail the feelings and difficulties that she has suffered since the death of her husband. She categorically rules out a return to the porn business and lives mainly because of her children in what she calls conservative, crime-poor St. George , but also makes it clear that she has no problem with pornography. In addition, she is an avowed supporter of the religious personification Flying Spaghetti Monster . As it became known in November 2014, she was able to be shown in the photo of her driver's license in the US state of Utah with a pasta strainer as a religious headgear. She said: “I am proud to be an open atheist. And I'm proud of the state of Utah, which gives all religions the same rights. ”In 2015, she was convicted of driving her daughter while drinking.
