James Carr (film producer)
James Carr (born 1911 in Kirkby Stephen , Westmorland , England , † May 3, 1981 ) was a British film producer.
Life
Carr first appeared as a cameraman for a short film in 1936, made his own film in 1940 and was then involved in more than 40 short films as a producer from 1941 to 1977 inclusive.
In 1954, Carr was nominated for an Oscar for the short film They Planted a Stone in the category Best Documentary Short . 1958 followed a nomination for the best short film . The following year he received his third and final Oscar nomination, this time for Best Documentary .
