James Elles (born September 3, 1949 in London ) is a British politician ( Conservative Party ).
Elles has been a member of the European Parliament since 1984 . He represents the region of South East England and is responsible for the counties of Berkshire , Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire . From 2009 Elles will be a member of the Budget Committee and a delegation to the EU-Turkey Joint Parliamentary Committee . Elles is deputy on the Foreign Affairs Committee and on the delegation for relations with the United States .
Currently (2018) Elles is also chairman of the Transatlantic Policy Network and a member of the steering committee of the European Internet Foundation .
