James Glickenhaus

James Glickenhaus (born July 24, 1950 in New York City ) is an American director, screenwriter, producer and investment manager.

Life

Before starting his film career, Glickenhaus directed educational films. In 1975 he made his first feature film, The Astrologer , which was followed by seven more directorial works by the mid-1990s. As a producer he has been involved in a number of films by other directors.

His most famous films are The Exterminator , in which a man, after the judiciary fails, resorts to vigilante justice and takes action against street gangs and organized crime, and The Protector with Jackie Chan in the lead role.

Glickenhaus withdrew from the film business in 1995 and has been a partner in the investment company Glickenhaus & Co. founded by his father Seth Glickenhaus.

He is known for his collection of sports cars. In his order of 2005 was based on Ferrari Enzo at Pininfarina , the piece Ferrari P4 / 5 . In 2014 Glickenhaus acquired the one-off Ferrari 512 S Modulo to restore it. In the following year, Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus presented the LMP1- inspired and completely newly developed SCG 003 .
