James R. Bath

James Reynolds Bath (born August 18, 1936 ) is the former director of the Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI) and also a former partner in Arbusto Energy with George W. Bush . He served with George Bush in the Air National Guard , Texas during the Vietnam War . He is economically active in the aviation industry and real estate trading.

Bath is from Nachitoches, Louisiana . He moved to Houston in 1965 and served in the Texas Air National Guard as a 29-year-old .

After working for Atlantic Aviation , he became an aircraft dealer.

He got into the real estate business in 1973 and formed a partnership with Lloyd Bentsen's son, Lan. In 1978 Bath became director of the Main Bank of Houston , in Houston, Texas. Its co-investors were John Connally and the Saudi financier Ghaith Pharaon . He also founded JB&A Aviation .

In 1980 Bath became President of Cotopax Investments , which is based in the Cayman Islands. The name was later changed to: Skyway Aircraft Leasing Ltd. Later the board resigned as a whole and Bath remained as sole director.

Bath founded Southwest Airport Services to manage Houston Gulf Airport. This was closed in 2002. Bath's discharge from the National Guard and his relationships with the Bin Laden family, the Bush families, and Arbusto are described in the book Dude, Where's My Country? and themed in the documentary Fahrenheit 9/11 by Michael Moore . With the same theme, the book employs Greg Palast called The Best Democracy Money Can Buy and whose film Bush Family Fortunes . Also Russ Baker's book Family of Secrets deals with the same subject.

Jim Bath was previously in River Oaks, the Houston neighbor of Khalid bin Mahfouz , who was accused of collaborating with Al Qaeda .
