James Trifunov
James Trifunov (born July 18, 1903 in Winnipeg , † June 27, 1993 ibid) was a Canadian wrestler .
Trifunov competed in the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam . He was third behind Kaarlo Mäkinen from Finland and Edmond Spapen from Belgium . In 1930 he won gold at the British Empire Games , ahead of the British Joseph Reid . In 1960 he was inducted into Canada's Sports Hall of Fame.
