Jamey Stegmaier

Jamey Stegmaier (born 1981 ) is an American game designer , publisher and book author. He is the managing director of the publishing house Stonemaier Games , in which he publishes his own games as well as games by other authors.

biography

Jamey Stegmaier grew up in Virginia and went to Washington University in St. Louis , Missouri . There he founded the publishing house Stonemaier Games together with Alan Stone and published his first game Viticulture in 2013 after a successful Kickstarter campaign. With Euphoria and several additions to Viticulture , especially Tuscany: Expand the World of Viticulture 2014, he realized more games via kickstarter. In 2015 Viticulture Essential Edition and Tuscany Essential Edition as well as his book A Crowdfunder's Strategy Guide: Build a Better Business by Building Community about his experiences with crowdfunding and the platform Kickstarter.com , about which he also writes in his publishing blog in the kickstarter lessons .

In 2016, the strategy game Scythe appeared , which was released internationally and received awards. The German version of the game was published by the German publisher Feuerland Spiele . Several additions were also published for Scythe . In 2017 Charterstone came onto the market, a game based on the legacy principle , in which it evolves with each game round.
