Jan Brooijmans
Jan Brooijmans (born November 3, 1929 - September 13, 1996 ) was a Dutch football player . His hometown club was Willem II Tilburg .
career
Jan Brooijmans was part of the Willem II team in his Brabant homeland, which won the Dutch championship in 1954/55 . It was the first round after the introduction of professional football in the KNVB . The coach was František Fadrhonc and Jan van Roessel played as a center forward in the blue-white-red from the Gemeentelijk Sportpark Tilburg. In the 1956/57 season Willem II Tilburg rose from the Eredivisie .
Between 1955 and 1956 he played two international matches for the Dutch national soccer team , the first of the two on October 16, 1955 in Rotterdam against the Belgian national soccer team . It ended in a 2-2 draw and center forward Bram Appel scored both goals for the Dutch team. The second international match ended on May 10, 1956 with a 1: 4 home defeat against Ireland. Teammates were goalkeeper Frans de Munck and Bram Appel, Abe Lenstra and Coen Moulijn attacked .
