Jan Christe (born February 8, 1978 ) is a German journalist and entrepreneur .

Life

After finishing school, Jan Christe studied at the Hanover University of Applied Sciences from September 1999 to 2004 , where he graduated as a qualified editor. During this time he worked, among other things, as a research assistant and intern or as a freelancer at c't Magazin at Heise Zeitschriften Verlag . The magazine t3n emerged from the thesis on Web-based Publishing with Open Source Technologies , which he wrote together with Andreas Lenz and Martin Brüggemann .

Due to the great interest in the first issue , the publishing house yeebase media was founded in 2005 , and the t3n magazine has been published quarterly since then. As editor-in-chief, Jan Christe was responsible for the entire content of the work and of the t3n.de Internet portal . Since 2011 Jan Christe has also been one of the managing directors of yeebase media GmbH , which emerged from the former company under civil law . In 2016 he moved to the position of editor of t3n magazine and also handed over the position of editor-in-chief of t3n.de to Stephan Dörner .

Prices

In March 2006, Jan Christe, together with Andreas Lenz and Martin Brüggemann, was named the winner of the StartUp Impuls 2005 start-up competition by the development company HannoverImpuls .
