Stephan Dörner

Stephan Dörner (* 1982 in Dusseldorf ) is a German journalist and chief editor of t3n.de .

Life

After graduating from high school, Dörner studied sociology , political science and communication science at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf from 2004 to 2008 and graduated with a bachelor's degree . In the meantime, he and other students developed a platform for free weblogs, which later became a web and social media agency .

Dörner began his professional career as a freelancer for the Rheinische Post and the Handelsblatt . In 2012 he took up a permanent position at the Handelsblatt and in the same year switched to the German-language edition of the Wall Street Journal as an expert on technology topics . In 2015 Dörner finally came to the daily newspaper Die Welt as editor , before taking over the editor-in-chief of t3n.de in 2016. There he replaced the previous editor-in-chief Florian Blaschke in order to establish t3n.de more strongly as a magazine for the most important topics in the digital economy .

He is committed to an unconditional basic income .
