Jan Frans Willems
Jan Frans Willems (born March 11, 1793 in Boechout , † June 24, 1846 in Gent ) was a Belgian writer, Germanist, Romance studies and father of the Flemish movement .
life and work
Willems was an important representative of early Dutch studies . He also published the Eulalia sequence , which was discovered by Hoffmann von Fallersleben , which was important for Romance studies . Since 1844 he was a foreign member of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences .
