Jan Halvardsson (born July 26, 1976 ) is a former Swedish ski jumper .

Career

Halvardsson, who started for the Sysslebäcks IF , made his international debut in the 1994/95 season in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup . However, he was only able to achieve six points in the entire season and was only 127th overall. Also in the 1995/96 season he was only able to improve his performance slightly, but he landed again on rank 127. After another year in the Continental Cup, he won the title on the large hill at the Swedish Championships in 1997. Then he got a starting place in the Swedish team for the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1997 in Trondheim, Norway . However, as 50th on the normal hill and 55th on the large hill, he clearly missed a jump into the top of the world. Despite this failure, Halvardsson made his debut in the ski jumping world cup on March 13, 1997 in Falun, just a few days after the world championship . As 64th, he clearly missed the second round. In the 1997/98 season he started again in ski flying in Vikersund and in individual jumping in Falun. He just missed the points in his last World Cup as 36th.

Halvardsson lives in Sysslebäck .
