Sysslebäck is a place ( Tatort ) in the municipality of Torsby in the Swedish province of Värmland County and the historic province of Värmland .
geography
The place is at Riksväg 62 , about 70 kilometers north of Torsby and about 40 kilometers west of Malung near the Norwegian border. The Klarälven river runs through the local area .
history
Sysslebäck was combined with Höljes , Likenäs and Långav in 1952 to form the municipality of Finnskoga-Dalby . Sysslebäck became the center of this with its 730 inhabitants at the time. In 1974 the municipality was dissolved in the course of a further regional reform and the places came to the municipality Torsby , in which Sysslebäck formed the northern center.

Sports
Sysslebäck is considered a sports center in the region. With the local Sysslebäcks IF and the youth center operated by it on Sysslebäcksbacken and the surrounding cross-country skiing trails, Sysslebäck has been a focus of Nordic skiing in the region since the 1930s. In 2002 the Swedish Ski Championships took place in Sysslebäck. Nordvärmlands FF also plays sub-class football in the village .
economy
The furniture manufacturer Samhall runs a factory in Sysslebäck that produces beds for the IKEA furniture store . Another major economic factor of the place is tourism, which plays a major role especially in the winter sports areas of the municipality. The most famous ski area is Branäs . There is a chocolate factory in an old school in Sysslebäck.
