Jan Henrik Trøen (born April 16, 1963 ) is a former Norwegian ski jumper .

Career

Trøen competed in the Ski Jumping World Cup between 1981 and 1988 . He competed in his first World Cup competition on February 26, 1981 in Chamonix , where he was able to jump into the points with eleventh place on the normal hill. He also succeeded in doing this in Saint-Nizier . He ended his first season with eight points in 62nd place in the overall World Cup standings. In his only jumping in the following season in Thunder Bay , he was able to win points again. In the following two years he was nominated for a World Cup several times and also achieved World Cup points several times. His most successful season was 1985/86 , in which, after good results - including fifth place in Innsbruck, the best individual result of his career - he finished 37th in the overall World Cup ranking. In the following season he jumped another World Cup in his home town of Oslo and then ended his active ski jumping career at the age of 24.
