Jan Michaelis (Author)

Jan Albert Michaelis (* 1968 in Heilbronn ) is a German author .

From 1990 to 1992 Michaelis did an apprenticeship as a bookseller in Heilbronn, during which time he also gave first readings, received reading grants and exchanged letters with Holger Benkel and Oskar Pastior . Afterwards he was a bookseller several times and had several appearances in the Düsseldorfer Kom (m) ödchen . He has been working as a freelance journalist since 1997, writing theater reviews and short stories for newspapers.

Jan Michaelis lives in Düsseldorf .
