Jan Off (* 1967 in Braunschweig ) is a German trash - and punk - author .

He graduated from high school in 1986 and got married. After the community service, divorce and study followed. He began to write and became known in the poetry and social beat scene and in 2001 was German champion at the poetry slam championships in Düsseldorf . In recent years he toured a. a. with colleagues such as Lee Hollis , Philipp Schiemann and Johannes Finke through Germany and on behalf of the Goethe Institute through half of Europe. His works will be published by Valve-Verlag in Mainz until 2014, and his books have been published by Insichtbar Verlag since 2015 . His debut novel Committee was published by Loudspeaker Publishing.

Jan Off already lived in Leipzig and Darmstadt and is currently based in Hamburg (as of 2010).
