Janusz "Jan" Różycki (born May 10, 1939 in Warsaw ) is a former Polish foil fencer .

successes

Janusz Różycki was runner-up with the team in Gdansk in 1963 and in Paris in 1965 . There were also third places in 1961 in Turin , 1962 in Buenos Aires , 1966 in Moscow and 1967 in Montreal . He took part in the Olympic Games twice: in 1960 he was eliminated in the semi-finals of the individual in Rome , while he finished fifth with the team. At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964 , he and the Polish team reached the final unbeaten, in which they had to admit defeat to the Soviet Union 7: 9. Together with Egon Franke , Ryszard Parulski , Zbigniew Skrudlik and Witold Woyda , he received the silver medal. At the national level, he was Polish individual champion in 1960. He won the title seven times with the team.

His father was the mathematician and cryptologist Jerzy Różycki .
