Jan Schneider (born March 25, 1981 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Schneider attended the Kalbach elementary school and the Lessing grammar school in Frankfurt am Main. After spending a year at school in England, he passed his Abitur in 2000. He then studied law at the Universities of Konstanz and Frankfurt am Main and passed the first state examination in 2007 and the second in 2009. He then joined the Hessian state service as a lawyer in the Hessian Ministry of the Interior and for Sport. There he was personal advisor to the minister from 2010 to 2012.

Schneider was a member of the parish council of St. Laurentius from 1999 to 2001. In 2003 he was elected chairman of the CDU district association Kalbach-Riedberg . From 2001 to 2013 he was a member of the Kalbach-Riedberg local advisory board, of which he was parliamentary group chairman from 2005. From 2006 to 2013 he was also a member of the city council of Frankfurt am Main. Since 2011 he has been a member of the Regional Assembly of South Hesse, of which he was previously a deputy member.

Schneider moved up on February 1, 2012 for Gudrun Osterburg in the Hessian state parliament , who had been directly elected in the constituency of Frankfurt am Main VI . On October 30, 2013, he left the state parliament. His successor was Elisabeth Apel . Schneider has been a city councilor in Frankfurt am Main since November 1, 2013 and in this role is responsible for the areas of construction and real estate, reform projects, citizen service and IT.

Schneider is married and has three children.
