Jan Snela

Jan Snela (born 1980 in Munich ) is a German writer.

Life

Jan Snela was born in Munich and lives in Tübingen . He studied comparative literature, Slavic studies and rhetoric in Munich and Tübingen. In 2010 he won the prose prize at the 18th Open Mike in Berlin. At the invitation of Meike Feßmann , he read his story Arabs and Jackals at the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize 2016 . In the same year, Klett-Cotta published his literary debut, the volume of short stories Milchgesicht. A bestiary of love , for which he was awarded the Clemens Brentano Prize in 2017 .
