The Jan Suhr was a coaster that was built in 1955 at the Stader shipyard with hull number 169 and sank in 2001 as Eevi off the coast of Estonia .

history

The Jan Suhr was launched on March 24, 1955 and was handed over to its first owner, Johannes Suhr, on May 26 of the same year. It kept its original name until 1971 and remained in the possession of the Suhr family; then it was sold to Uwe Manthe in Rendsburg and renamed Thorsten . In 1994 it was sold to Tallinn and was given the name Eevi , under which it was used for various owners over the next few years.

Downfall

On 23 March 2001 came on the trip from Paljassaare to Szczecin water into the ship one, the first of about 20 ° list to port developed and then ran aground.
