Jan Trojan Turnovský
Jan Trojan (Traján) Turnovský ( Trajanus Calcitraha Turnovinus ; * around 1550 in Turnov , † 1606 in Sepekov ) was a Czech composer .
Turnovský enrolled at the Charles University in Prague in 1564 and worked as an utraquist pastor in various places from around 1579 , most recently in Sepekov from 1595 at the latest. He composed numerous sacred works, including five offices , responsories and songs. Alongside Christoph Harant von Polschitz and Weseritz , he is considered one of the most important Czech composers of the 16th century.
