Jan Władysław Suchodolec

January Władysław Suchodolec , Pol. Also Suchodolski , later dt. Also of Suchodoletz (* 1687 , † 1751 in Marienburg , Prussia Royal share ) was a Polish architect , surveyor and cartographer in Prussian service.

Life

Suchodolec came from the Polish noble family of Suchodoletz and was the son of the engineer and cartographer Samuel Suchodolec (1649-1727) and Elisabeth von Biberstein-Kasimirski (1658-1727).

At a young age he supported his father in his cartographic work. On October 25, 1708, he began studying at the Brandenburg University in Frankfurt . From 1732 to 1739 he was in the service of the "Soldier King" Friedrich Wilhelm I.

  1. According to the GHdA Adelslexikon , his grandson Gottlieb (1742–1814), deputy of the East Prussian region, was allowed to use the name of Suchodoletz with his descendants without objection .
