Jannette Roscoe

Jannette Roscoe ( Jannette Veronica "Jan" Roscoe, née Champion; born June 10, 1946 in Tunbridge Wells ) is a former British sprinter who specialized in the 400-meter run .

At the British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh in 1970 , she finished fourth for England .

The following year, she retired from the European Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 1971 over 400 m in the semi-finals and was fourth in the 4 x 400 meter relay with the British team .

At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, she reached the quarter-finals over 400 m and was fifth in the 4-by-400-meter relay .

In 1974 she was again fourth in the individual competition at the British Commonwealth Games in Christchurch and won the English 4 x 400 meter relay. At the European Championships in Rome , she was eliminated again in the semifinals over 400 m and was sixth with the British 400-meter relay.

In 1971 and 1973 she became English champion over 400 m and 1975 over 400 m hurdles ; In 1971 she was also the English indoor champion over 400 m.
