Per Henricsson (born August 9, 1969 in Stockholm ) is a former Swedish tennis player .

Life

Henricsson only played 10 individual games on the ATP Tour in the course of his career , of which he lost eight. On the ATP Challenger Tour he won his only individual title in 1989 at the tournament in Budapest . He was more successful in doubles. In his first professional season in 1988, he won the double title at the tournament in Athens alongside Rikard Bergh . The following year he won alongside Nicklas Utgren at the tournament in Båstad . In addition, he won three double titles ( Hanko , Budapest, Helsinki ) on the ATP Challenger Tour this year with various double partners . Nicklas Utren made it to the finals at the International Weissenhof tournament in Stuttgart in 1990 , which at that time was part of the ATP International Series Gold Series. Utgren and Henricsson were defeated by the South Africans Pieter Aldrich and Danie Visser in two sets. Through this final, Utgren reached his highest position in the double tennis world rankings with position 65 . In 1988 he was listed on position 210.

Due to his low world ranking position, Henricsson was never directly qualified for a Grand Slam tournament in singles . He tried twice in qualifying at the Australian Open , but could never move into the main draw. In the doubles competition he reached the round of 16 of the Australian Open in 1990 on the side of Nicklas Utgren.
