Rikard Bergh (born June 14, 1966 in Örebro ) is a former Swedish tennis player .

Career

Bergh became a professional tennis player in 1987. He first played on the ATP Challenger Tour , on which he was able to play out his first title alongside Ronnie Båthman in Cascais the following year . He was also in the semi-finals of the Challenger tournament in Montabaur . Together with Per Henricsson , he also won a tournament on the ATP World Tour for the first time in Athens . In total, he won six tournaments in doubles in his career, he was another five times in a double-final, including twice in Tel Aviv .

In the individual, he could not qualify for the main draw of a Grand Slam tournament . His best result in doubles was the move into the semifinals of Wimbledon on the side of Byron Talbot in 1993. In 1991, he reached the quarter-finals of the US Open and twice the second round of the French Open . He reached his highest score in the double world rankings in 1992 with position 37, in individual he came to position 158 in 1989.
