Ernsbach-Erbuch is a local district of Erbach and a former municipality in the Hessian Odenwaldkreis , which includes the two neighboring villages Ernsbach and Erbuch .

Geographical location

Ernsbach-Erbuch is embedded in the extensive forests east of the city center in the headwaters of the Erdbach . Through streets do not lead through the two districts Ernsbach (Erbach) and Erbuch .

history

The short-lived community of Ernsbach-Erbuch was created on January 1, 1968 through the merger of the previously independent communities of Erbuch and Ernsbach . On the occasion of the regional reform in Hesse , this new formation joined the city of Erbach only four years later on December 31, 1971 and thus ceased to exist as an independent municipality. However, the city of Erbach has since created a common local district and a joint local council for this dual location .
