Jaora ( Hindi : जावरा , Jāvrā ) is a city ( Nagar Palika Parishad ) in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh .
The city had about 72,000 inhabitants at the 2011 census and is located in the Ratlam administrative district .
The place was the capital of the princely state of Jaora .
