Jarle Vespestad

Jarle Vespestad (born April 16, 1966 in Jessheim ) is a Norwegian jazz drummer.

Vespestad studied at the Toneheim folkehøgskole until 1988 and at the Musikkonservatoriet i Trondheim until 1990 . He was one of the founding members of the free jazz group Farmers Market . He played in the groups Veslefrekk and Supersilent and worked with Silje Nergaard's band (album Nightwatch ).

He also appeared with the trio of Petter Wettre (album Mystery Unfolds ) and in a duo with Tore Brunborg and Bugge Wesseltoft . He played three albums with the Tord Gustavsen Trio (with Harald Johnsen ). He also played with Gustavsen and singer Simin Tander on the album What Was Said , which he presented in Germany in 2016 and which received the annual German Record Critics' Award in the same year .
