Jarmila Glazarová
Jarmila Glazarová (born September 7, 1901 in Malá Skála near Turnov , † February 20, 1977 in Prague ; married Jarmila Podivínská ) was a Czech writer .
Life
Her parents died early and she married an older partner. Between the world wars she worked as a cultural attaché in Moscow .
Works
Your work relates to the regions of Silesia and Beskydy . In it she describes her own marriage and the tragic fate of other women. Most of the works were created between 1936 and 1940, including Roky v kruhu (Years in a Circle) - 1936, the chronicle of her twelve-year happy marriage to a doctor.
In the novel Vlčí jáma (The Wolf Trap), published in 1938, she describes the coexistence of a country doctor with his aging despotic wife and the young foster daughter.
Her most important work is the book Advent published in 1939 . It belongs in the category of ballad prose. The mother searches for her lost child, saves it from certain death and takes revenge on the brutal father and his lover. The story takes place during one night.
Jarmila Glazarová also wrote feature articles , travel reports and articles on literature and writers.
