Jarno Bor (born July 12, 1976 in Zwolle ) is a former Dutch ski jumper . Together with Peter van Hal , Richard Jansen and Maarten Homan, Jarno Bor is one of the pioneers of ski jumping in the Netherlands after Gerrit Jan Konijnenberg.

Career

From 1992 to 1995 he was an active jumper in the squad, but he ended his career as a jumper after a serious trampoline accident at the sports university.

In November 1995, Bor was invited by Hubert Neuper as a participant and representative of the Netherlands to set the New York hill record at the "World Team Masters" together with many celebrities from the alpine skiing and ski jumping world on a hill directly in front of the World Trade Center in New York to set up. Ski legends like Walter Kroneisl , Annemarie Moser-Pröll , Franz Klammer , Jan Boklöv , Stephan Zünd , Hubertus von Hohenlohe and others tried their luck. Together with Franz Klammer, Jarno Bor was able to set a jump record of 23 meters.

After his resignation, Jarno Bor trained a group of 10 new talents as a youth national coach. From this group came Boy van Baarle - a promising Dutch ski jumper. van Baarle learned his first jumps on the hill from Jarno Bor and was trained from Bor to the K65 hill. Bor also produced Nathalie Rissema, the first Dutch female ski jumper.

In the summer of 1996 Bor finished his job as a trainer and moved to Bad Mitterndorf . Here he trained the youth of WSV Bad Mitterndorf for a year before he definitely ended his career in the ski jumping world.

Today Bor lives with his family in Bad Aussee and works as a managing director at an emergency service company.
