Jaro Merinsky

Jaroslav Karl Merinsky (born December 31, 1895 in Sarajevo , † April 25, 1978 in Linz ) was an Austrian architect.

Life

Jaro Merinsky attended the Graphic Education and Research Institute and the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna . He studied at the Technical University of Vienna .

At the technical university he held the office of dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture from 1956 to 1957 and as rector from 1962 to 1963. From 1964 to 1967 he was President of the Austrian Society for the Preservation of Monuments and Sites .

On behalf of the municipality of Vienna, Merinsky designed residential complexes, among other things.
