Jaromír Šimr (born January 31, 1979 in Pilsen ) is a Czech football player .

Career

Šimr started playing football at FC Viktoria Plzen . In 1995 the midfielder fell on the talent scouts of Feyenoord Rotterdam at the U-16 European Championship and was signed by the Dutch top club.

In the professional team Feyenoords made it Šimr, who is only known in Holland as Jarda Šimr , but never. In 1999 he was loaned to the RKC Waalwijk , and after only one month he was on loan again to Excelsior Rotterdam in the Dutch 2nd division. There he was able to fight for a regular place straight away. In the first season he scored three goals in 28 games, in the second season he scored 17 goals in 33 games, making it Excelsior in the play-offs.

In the summer of 2001, Šimr was signed by the first division NEC Nijmegen for over 1.5 million euros and played there regularly. The 2004/05 season began with little success due to injuries and was sold to the Polish first division club Amica Wronki six months before his contract expired . There he made 35 games in a year and a half before returning to his former club Excelsior Rotterdam this time in the Eredivisie in summer 2006 . At the end of September 2007 he signed a two-year contract with his youth club Viktoria Pilsen. He now plays for the lower-class FC Spartak Chrást .
