Jaromír Štětina (born April 6, 1943 in Prague ) is a Czech politician of the TOP 09 party and a journalist .

Life

Štětina studied at the University of Economics in Prague and works as a journalist in the Czech Republic. In 2004 he was in the Czech Republic Senate of the Parliament elected. Štětina has been a member of the European Parliament since 2014 . There he is Deputy Chairman of the Subcommittee on Security and Defense and member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET), in the delegation in the committees for parliamentary cooperation between the European Union (EU) and Armenia , EU- Azerbaijan and EU- Georgia and in the Delegation to the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly.

He is one of the 89 people from the European Union against whom Russia imposed an entry ban in May 2015 .
