Jaroslav Babušiak (born September 6, 1984 in Dolný Kubín ) is a Slovak ski racer . His strengths lie in the technical disciplines of slalom and giant slalom , but he also starts in downhill and super-G as well as in combinations .

Career

Babušiak has been Slovak slalom champion and giant slalom champion several times. He has already won several FIS races in these two disciplines . In the Alpine Ski World Cup Babušiak starts only sporadically. However, he has already achieved World Cup points - as the first male alpine skier of the Slovak Ski Association - with 19th place in the failed super combination of Val-d'Isère 2008 .

At the Olympic Winter Games in Turin 2006 Jaroslav Babušiak started in all disciplines except giant slalom and achieved the best result in 24th place in slalom. He has also participated in three World Ski Championships ( Bormio 2005 , Åre 2007 and Val-d'Isère 2009 ). His best result here is 19th place in the super combined of Val-d'Isère. Two years later he equalized this result in Garmisch-Partenkirchen .
