Jaroslav Palliardi

Jaroslav Palliardi (born February 20, 1861 in Telč , Moravia , † March 12, 1922 in Moravské Budějovice ) was a Czech lawyer and archaeologist who worked mainly in the region around Znojmo .

His ancestors come from Italy. He was related to Johann Ignaz Palliardi , an Italian architect living in Bohemia. Jaroslav Palliardi studied law in Prague. From 1897 he was a notary in Vranov and two years later he moved to Moravian-Budweis . However, he was interested in prehistory and early history.

In 1909 he became a member of the newly founded Moravian Archaeological Association.
