Jaschlaz ( Hebrew ישל"צ; Acronym for Hebrew יְשִׁיבָה לצְעִירים; lit .: Yeshiva for young people) is a national-religious Yeshiva Talmud college in Jerusalem , Israel .

The Talmud High School was founded in 1964 by Rabbi Yaakov Filber . Filber was one of the students of Zwi Jehuda Kook , son of Abraham Isaak Kook . It became one of the most respected religious schools in the world. On March 6, 2008, five Jaschlaz students were shot dead in the Merkas HaRaw Kook massacre . The current head of the yeshiva is Rabbi Yerachamiel Weiss . Several well-known rabbis have taught in the Jaschlaz, including Rabbi David Samson and Rabbi Haim Steiner .

Students at the Talmud College were Rabbi Jitzhak Schapira , Rabbi Binyamin Ze'ev Kahane , Rabbi Eliezer Melamed , Rabbi Shmuel Elijahu and Colonel Dror Weinberg (Yehuda Brigade Commander in the IDF ).
