location
The station is located in the Quartier d' Auteuil in the 16th arrondissement of Paris . It lies lengthways under the Avenue Mozart at the level of the rue Jasmin which flows into it.
Surname
The name gives the rue Jasmin. Jacques Boé (1798–1864), called Jasmin, was a poet from Gascony who donated the proceeds from his readings to charitable institutions.
History and description
The station went into operation on November 8, 1922, when the 3.5 km long first section of line 9 from Trocadéro to Exelmans was opened. It was built by the CMP railway company and is 75 m long. The two tracks and the side platforms lie under white-tiled, elliptical vaults, the side walls follow their curvature. The mezzanine floor with the ticket machines is located low above the tracks and can be seen from the platforms. The ticket office there was dismantled around 2010.
The station was renovated in 2004–2005, based on the original condition. The only access is at the confluence of the Rue de l'Yvette, it is marked by a candelabra of the Val d'Osne type. Opposite is an additional exit with an escalator.
vehicles
Line 9 is operated with conventional vehicles that run on steel rails. Initially, trains of the Sprague-Thomson type , which were last used there, ran. In 1983 the MF 67 series was launched . The MF 01 series has been increasingly used since October 2013, and the last MF 67 train ran on line 9 on December 14, 2016.
