Jasmine Bayer

Jasmin Bayer (born September 21, 1960 in Pforzheim ) is a German jazz singer , composer and songwriter .

Career

As a child and youth, Bayer sang in the school choir of the Theodor-Heuss-Gymnasium Mühlacker , where she received her first vocal training. She then worked internationally as a model for agencies, after which she attended the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in Los Angeles . There she received training in acting, voice training and musicals from 1989. From 1991 she played as Jasmin Gabler in various feature films and commercials. During this time she devoted herself to acting and singing exclusively on a private level.

In 2014 she met the composer and pianist Davide Roberts in Munich and began a collaboration. Together they worked on their first compositions, followed by their first appearances in the area around Munich . She founded her jazz formation Jasmin Bayer & Band , with Davide Roberts (piano), Peter Tuscher (trumpet), Markus Wagner (double bass) and Christos Asonitis (drums). In 2016 she recorded her debut album “Summer Melodies” with Enja in Munich. In 2018 the album "The Green Unicorn" followed.
