Peter Tuscher
Peter Tuscher (born December 19, 1954 in Munich ) is a German trumpeter and flugelhorn player specializing in jazz and new music .
Live and act
Peter Tuscher gained his first musical experience with ensembles such as Hermann Breuer's Blue Bone or the Harald Rüschenbaum Orchestra in the 1970s . In 1981 he was a fellow at the University of Michigan in Detroit . There he took lessons from various well-known soloists such as Marcus Belgrave . From 1982 he was a member of the Franco-German jazz ensemble under the direction of Albert Mangelsdorff and Henri Texier . Since then he has performed with his own formations and as a guest soloist with ensembles such as the German Jazz Orchestra , Connexion Latina, Al Porcino Big Band, Charly Antolini Jazz Power , the Roman Schwaller Nonett, Patrick Biancos Cannonsoul or the Ugetsu band around Adrian Mears .
In 1987 he was awarded the City of Munich Prize He is a regular lecturer for the Bavarian State Youth Jazz Orchestra. Since 1994 he has held a professorship for trumpet at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz.
